Willy Wonka - Male, Age 25-45 - The enigmatic and eccentric owner of the world-famous Wonka Chocolate Factory. Willy Wonka is a reclusive and imaginative genius known for creating the most extraordinary candies and confections. He is both charismatic and unpredictable, leading the five Golden Ticket winners on a magical tour through his factory. Willy Wonka should speak with an American Accent. VOCAL RANGE F4-A2 Tenor/Baritone ***This actor needs to act well, sing well, move well, and easily improvise.***

Charlie Bucket - Male, Age 9-12 - The earnest and kind-hearted young protagonist of the story. Charlie comes from a poor family but dreams of a better life. He is selfless, compassionate, and possesses an unwavering moral compass. Charlie's integrity and pure heart lead him to be the final Golden Ticket winner. Charlie should have a RP English Accent. VOCAL RANGE E5-G3 Treble/Boy Soprano

Mrs. Bucket - Female, Age 35-45 - Mrs Bucket is Charlie’s mother and a single mother following the death of her husband. She lives with her son and his four grandparents, who are elderly and infirm. Mrs. Bucket feels the pressure of needing to support the whole family, especially as her income barely makes ends meet. Mrs. Bucket should have a RP English Accent. Grandpa Joe - Male, Age 50+ - Charlie's kind-hearted and supportive grandfather. Grandpa Joe is full of life and adventure, and he is Charlie's companion on the tour of the chocolate factory. Grandpa Joe serves as Charlie's father-figure but also his confidant and partner-in-crime. Grandpa Joe speak with an American Accent. VOCAL RANGE E4-B2 Baritone

Grandma Josephine - Female, Age 50+ - Charlie's grandmother. She's sweet and dear. Think Rose from the Golden Girls. Grandma Josephine speaks with an American Accent ***Only appears in Act 1***

Grandpa George - Male, Age 50+ -Charlie's other grandfather. He's hard of hearing and can barely see. He is a loveable Curmudgeon. Grandpa George should have a RP English Accent. ***Only appears in Act 1***

Grandma Georgina - Female, Age 50+ - Charlie's Grandmother. She's a bit feisty. Think Sophia from the Golden Girls. Grandma Georgina should have a RP English Accent ***Only appears in Act 1***

Mrs. Green - Female, Age Open - The poor, second-hand vegetable saleslady that Charlie buys the only food his family can afford. While a kind woman who cares about Charlie and his family, her priority is making a living. ***Non-Solo Singing Role. Open to Accent used. Only appears in Act 1***

Augustus Gloop - Male, Age 9-12 (see note about actor) - A gluttonous, overweight child who finds one of the Golden Tickets. Augustus is known for his insatiable appetite, and his love for food often leads him into trouble. He represents the sin of gluttony in the story. Augustus sings, “More of Him to Love”, which is a humorous and lively number, with a touch of vaudeville style. It has playful and bouncy melodies that emphasize Augustus's gluttonous nature. VOCAL RANGE D4-B2 Baritone ***We are looking for a larger adult man to play this role. Must speak in a child like Bavarian accent.***

Mrs. Gloop - Female, Age 30-50 - Augustus Gloop's Mother, who is constantly trying to satisfy their son's insatiable appetite. VOCAL RANGE D5-A3 Mezzo-Soprano ***Looking for a larger Actress. Actress must speak with Bavarian accent***

Veruca Salt - Female, Age 9-12 (see note about actor) - A spoiled and bratty young girl who also discovers a Golden Ticket. Veruca is used to getting anything she wants and throws tantrums when she doesn't. She symbolizes the vice of greed. VOCAL RANGE E5-C4 Mezzo-Soprano ***We are looking for an actress between mid-teens to mid-20s. Actress must speak with a Russian accent.***

Mr. Salt - Male, Age 30-50 - Veruca's affluent father, who indulges her every whim and showers her with expensive gifts. He believes that money can solve any problem. VOCAL RANGE A#4-B2 Tenor ***Actor must speak with a Russian accent***

Violet Beauregard - Female, Age 9-12 (see note about actor) - A competitive and gum-obsessed girl who is among the Golden Ticket winners. Violet is a world-champion gum chewer and boasts of her accomplishments. She embodies the sin of pride. "Queen of Pop" is a pop-inspired song, reflecting Violet's obsession with fame and her belief that she is the best. The song incorporates modern pop elements and catchy hooks. Mr. Beauregard - Male, Age 30-50 - Violet's father, who is just as competitive and boastful as his daughter. He is obsessed with her success and is eager to capitalize on her newfound fame. He's a dad and a manager; a Dad-ager. Should Speak with an American Accent VOCAL RANGE E4-C3 Baritone

Mike Teavee - Male, Age 9-12 (see note about actor) - A technology-obsessed boy who secures one of the Golden Tickets. Mike is obsessed with television, video games, and gadgets. He represents the vice of sloth or laziness. "Vidiots" has a modern and techno-pop vibe, reflecting Mike's tech-savvy nature. The song features electronic beats and digital sound effects, creating a contemporary feel. VOCAL RANGE: Bb4-G3 Tenor ***We are looking for an actor between mid-teens to mid-20s.***

Mrs. Teavee - Female, Age 30-50 - Mike Teavee's mother, who struggles to connect with her son due to his obsession with technology. She feels and looks more like a 1950s TV mother. Should Speak with an American Accent VOCAL RANGE D5-G3 Mezzo-Soprano

Jerry Jubilee - Male, Age Open - News Ancor who announces when the Golden Tickets have been won. A little over the Top stereotype of a News Ancor. Should Speak with a Stereotypical Newscaster American Accent ***Only appears in Act 1***

Cherry Sundae - Female, Age Open - The In the Field news reporter who interviews the Golden Ticket Winners and their Parents. She should be a stereotype of the overly sweet Reporter. Should Speak with a Stereotypical Newscaster American Accent ***Only appears in Act 1***

Oompa-Loompas - 6-8 Children between ages 9-12. They are the workers inside the factory helping Wonka create his candy ideas. They will double as children in Act 1 and Oompa Loompas in Act 2. ***Performers must sing and move well.***

Adult Ensemble - 3 Males and 3 Females, Age Open - 6 Adults that will play towns people and various back-up for Golden Ticket winner's songs in Act 1. Then appear as Giant Squirrels in Act 2. ***Performers must sing and move well.***
